Our tasting notes:
We sampled this delight last week with the Barrel & Batch lads during an event and didn’t have the opportunity to really sit with the whisky for complete tasting notes. First impressions….. the whisky is simply “alluring”. The 63.3% ABV is restrained beautifully by a rich nose and velvet-laden palate that will catch you off guard – Buttery and intense, yet delicate and refined. It’s Overeem at the top their game. Looking forward to sitting with another dram soon.

Description:
The dapper gentleman at Barrel & Batch have once again worked their magic in releasing Overeem’s first ever sherry cask, ‘Cask Strength’ whisky.
Barrel and Batch comment:
“We selected five casks to taste. some Port, some Sherry but all delicious. It was a tough choice but Cask No: OD-373 managed to just nose ahead of the competition. It’s a 100L Sherry cask and the spirit has a nose of choc-mint, honey, banana and vanilla. The palate is creamy and had the panel thinking of affogato, Christmas pudding, cinnamon and rum and raisins. The finish is long and sweet.
We think this whisky delivers on Casey Overeem’s promise from all those years ago and that you will love drinking it”.
