Description
Here’s a robust 10-year-old single malt from cult South Australian whisky producer Smith’s Angaston. The whisky is crafted using heavy roasted Flagship barley from Ardrossen on the Yorke Peninsula, malted at Cooper’s Brewery in Adelaide and then double distilled at Yalumba in the Hills above Angaston, Barossa, South Australia.
This single cask whisky was chosen from the 2011 distillation for its exceptional character. Aged in a selection of casks for 8 years and then ‘finished’ for 2 years in barrique no. FB0057, a cask previously used for a very old Muscadelle sweet white.
