Our tasting notes
Cherry spoon sweet, a little molasses, tuckshop cream buns, drying, turns herbal/Mediterranean mountain tea, nice spice, medium depth, some florals, a great all-round whisky. Nice work Spirits Thief.

Description:
Here’s an independent bottling from Spirit’s Thief with quite the backstory.
Distilled in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2013, at the Workshops Whisky Distillery and matured in Oamaru in the South Island, this small batch release was originally commissioned for New Zealand Whisky Collection. However, earthquakes and other seismic events saw this spirit set aside in a refill Bourbon cask for 3 years before being re-racked for two years in small New Zealand Pinot Noir casks and one American oak Bourbon cask.
After crossing the pond, they were eventually married together in Spirit Thief’s Tasmanian bond store in 2019.
