Official tasting notes.
Nose: Immediate pineapple entry – flowers and ripe fruit. A general and lovely fruity-floral note. Passionfruit skin, lychee, fresh green apple, watermelon. Cocoa, toasted sourdough and Marie biscuits balance out the fruit explosion. Milk bottle lollies, toffee and croquembouche.
Palate: Texture and flavour flow as one in a brilliant accord. Very few drinks do this; it is reminiscent of a Chablis, particularly in a warmer year. In this respect: a rounded calciferous texture and flavour. An Agricole bagasse note. Pineapple and friendly waves of tropical fruit. Glacé ginger, bright cherries, raisins. A delicate fruit tisane. Vanilla wafers and cocoa.
Finish: Green creaming soda Fizzer lollies bring wonderful childhood (and more recent) memories! A dreamy roll of apricot liqueur, with a bit of peachy jammy stuff, before vanilla wafers and nougat. Hint of menthol. The Chablis note is back in taste and texture. Whisper of coconut and sweet biscuits/cheesecake base. Really rounds back to the creaming soda notes, with lemon sherbert and watermelon, and an agave syrup note in it’s lingering. And linger it does.
