With a limited release of only 10 bottles, we were fortunate enough for the distiller and director of the Grove Distillery – Steven Hughes, to send two bottles of his latest Australian whisky creation our way.

The Grove Cask Strength single malt whisky is release number 11 made with single malted Australian barley – Aged in a unique combination of ex-Port / Peated Whisky cask (Custom 50L half French, Half American oak) and finished in an ex-Sherry / Bourbon cask (Custom 50L American oak). At a cask strength of 58% alc, it's a bright, clean and intensive Australian whisky offering a powerful blend of complexity, depth and spice.

You may note the label calls it a single malt, single grain whisky
(a conundrum indeed in our opinion. ?)
