Bottling Notes
This bottling of Governors Reserve was hand-picked by Head Distiller, Josh Walker and limited to only 122 bottles. This time around, he chose to mature the new-make in an 225 litre Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrel, cutting it to 51.6% alc for bottling.
An interesting fact with this release is that Mr Walker placed 20% of this bourbon cask into a 20lt Port cask for a time and then married it back together. He believes it adds a little to the finish of the whisky and provides a slightly more intense mouth feel.
It’s another rare offering from Timboon that rarely comes up for sale due to the scarcity of the whisky.
