This is the 9th batch release of Iniquity Australian Single Malt Whisky from South Australian distillery Tin Shed Distilling.
Producer’s Tasting Notes
- NOSE: Roasted hazelnut and toasted almond nuttiness with apricots, some cinnamon, autumn leaves, mixed apricot/peach fruit leather, medium dry sherry, a hint of wood-smoke and chocolate covered fruit. Quite perfumed like scented soap (Camay) with a hint of rosewater and cedar/sandalwood and tobacco leaf.
- PALATE: Medium dry with fruit leather, sherried fruit cake and some woody herbs, autumn leaf tannins in the mid through back palate along with some warm spiciness.
- FINISH: leafy tannins, some aromatic bitters, long and warming, drying wood and that tannic leafiness hangs around for a while.
Comment: Sophisticated and elegant with lots of interesting things going on in the nose; the palate and finish are perfectly aligned with the nose.
