Nose: A hint of pipe tobacco, cut grass and wet stubble. There is also a waft of ginger snaps, fresh baked biscuits, faint orange pith and orange juice.
Palate: Lively, with fresh squeezed orange juice and silky smooth Jaffas with good balance.
Finish: A long and even finish with the chocolate and orange in the Jaffas dancing a tango on the tongue.

Description:
Silver Batch No. 022 consists entirely of whisky matured in 2 second fill, American oak port casks for four years. What this means is that the whisky is more gentle, more subtle and less in your face than some of Iniquity’s earlier releases that were matured in first fill casks.
Owner and distiller, Ian Schmidt comments;
“Recent times have seen much discussion about whether the strong flavoured, often tannic, heavy Australian whiskies are a style or a fault. The answer to that of course depends on whether or not you like such whiskies. Silver Batch No. 022 sits at the other end of the scale of Australian whisky profiles due to the longer maturation in second fill barrels, but on a world scale it is still a very flavoursome dram, just more subtle than you are used to from Tin Shed, or many other Australian distillers.”
