Nose: Whipped cream and maple syrup over pancakes, dried apricots and rich sultanas.
Palate: Big juicy oily malt. Very warm but expected at 62%. Sticky date pudding like with a hint of choc and waffle cone.
Finish: Hints of ginger and wood transition to coffee grounds and leave you with a long gooey salted caramel finish.

This second release in the distillery’s Founders Reserve expression is Waubs Harbour’s most premium of releases that is a deliciously rich and oily single malt with Tasmanian maritime character. Only the highest quality ex-tawny port casks are selected by head distiller Rob Polmear, laid down, drawn and bottled at cask strength of 62%. The high strength retains oils and intense flavour resulting in a deeply complex whisky.
