Yack Creek’s 3rd release single malt whisky was aged in the same re-coopered 80L ex-red wine, French Oak casks as the inaugural release, and again transferred to an ex American Oak Bourbon cask and aged for a further 10 months. (4 more months than the inaugural release)
Double distilled and non-chill filtered, the additional bourbon cask aging has added complexity and length on the finish, where sweet caramels and vanilla mingle effortlessly with the red wine flavours
The 1st release sold out almost overnight, and this expression won’t last much longer.

Nose: Subtle orange, dried apricot earthy wood notes. Honeyed caramel, with hint of pepper.
Palate: Soft caramel with hints of vanilla, toffee, orange & peanut brittle and pepper.
Finish: Nut flavour lingers with hints of banana emerging. Soft warm finish.
