And now from Suntory comes this vibrant, relatively new single malt whisky from their Hakushu distillery which follows the recent movement towards non-age statement (NAS) whiskies. The Hakushu ‘Distiller’s Reserve’ Single Malt is produced from the pure waters of the Southern Japanese Alps combining young lightly peated and older, heavily peated malts rumoured to be a minimum eighteen years in age and matured in American oak casks.
