Our tasting notes
We had the pleasure of opening a bottle for a very special occasion in 2018 and it’s amazing whisky.
NOSE: Sweet and luscious; emanating spice, honey glazed figs, tobacco, Commandaria (sun dried grapes) and ripe apricot. Christmas at Grandma’s with an oaky kiss.
PALATE: Wickedly rich and oily. A frenzied contradiction of flavours. A fusion of brown sugar, raisons and spicy fruit compote seamlessly rise and then fade on the tongue giving way to sour cherries, grapefruit peel and intense tannin/oak.
FINISH: The finish doesn’t let up. It’s woody bones, raisin skin and tart heartbeat will stay with you long past the final pour. Incredible stuff!
