Here’s a rare 18-year-old Karuizawa expression from Cask #7550 distilled in 2000 and bottled for the Taiwanese market in 2018. Known as the ‘Hydrangea and Swallow’ bottling, the label features the work of famed Japanese artist, Hokusai (1760-1849). Ukiyo-e painter and printmaker of the Edo period.
Investment grade whisky – Karuizawa bottlings are fast disappearing as there aren’t too many casks left worldwide containing such revered whisky making this expression a highly sort after whisky that should appreciate nicely over time.
