Sales of Nikka's range of blended, pure malt and single malt whiskies have gained such celebrity over the past decade that it’s become virtually impossible to source some of their aged statement expressions such as this 21-year-old which is characterised by a profound and aromatic richness with exquisite balance unique to whisky of this age.
If you enjoyed the 17-year-old, you’ll absolutely be blown away by this 21yo. It offers a little more depth and complexity with hints of chocolate and coffee.

NOSE: Toasted oak drizzled with maple syrup and dark chocolate sauce.
PALATE: Big and bold. Coffee and chilli chocolate with hints of orange peel and distant smoke.
FINISH: Long and dry with more oak and spice.
In February 2011, Taketsuru 21yo was named “World Best Blended Malt Whisky” at the World Whiskies Awards for the fourth time in five years which is a fitting crown for this blend of Malts from the 2 Nikka distilleries, Yoichi and Miyagikyo.
