Description
The Chita single grain whisky was the first new premium whisky brand that Suntory had launched in over 10 years (which has now been joined by Toki). The Chita grain is better known for being one of the key elements of the Hibiki blends which helps marry the Hibiki flavours together with a delicate balance. The Chita is made using corn with diverse unblended whisky brewing techniques developed over many years at the Chita Distillery in Aichi Prefecture. Due to the use of corn, similar to bourbon – it features a light taste and delicately sweet fragrance which makes it the perfect summer pour.
This 2019 expression represents a change to the older box and bottle label but still features black calligraphy that exhibits the distinguished qualities of Japanese whisky, set on a white Japanese washi paper-label representing the light flavour.
