Japanese Release
500ml: 55%alc
Age: 8 Year Old
Country: Japan
Region: Akashi City
Cask Type: Old Sherry Butt No.188
Bottler: Eigashima /White Oak
White Oak’s whisky stills are only in operation for one month every year making for a very limited output of single malts and blends which are respectfully named after their hometown “Akashi” and once in a while, rare single malt (age-statement) bottlings become available and epitomise the distillery’s dedication to quality and complexity.
This unusual and incredibly rare eight-year-old release was matured in an old Spanish sherry butt which is the same cask used for the original White Oak 12yo, 14yo and 15yo releases in 2012-2014. Non-chill filtered with no added colour, it’s the perfect whisky for those after something unique and different.
