This expression was on sale in very limited quantities in the days running up to Ardbeg Feis Ile 2012.
Released in a limited run of 12,000 bottles, the Ardbeg Day is a remarkable marriage of two different styles of Ardbeg, from sweet and spicy to deep and dry, then finished in re-fill sherry butts for the final six months. A beautifully balance dram indeed!
NOSE: Rich and peaty with charred oak and dried fruits followed by vanilla and spice
PALATE: Salt and pepper with dry sherry and faint hints of citrus.
FINISH: Long and warm with sustained sherry. An immense whisky.
