Description
In 2011, a rocket ship blasted off from earth carrying research vials filled with particles of Ardbeg unmatured malt and charred oak to study their interaction at zero gravity in space. And to celebrated this first ever lunar experiment, Ardbeg have released this hotly anticipated and fittingly named ‘Ardbeg Gailieo’ which was distilled in 1999 and laid to rest in classic ex-bourbon barrels and casks that previously held Marsala wine from Sicily.

The result is a deep golden, rich and smoky expression with the Marsala casks imparting sweet tropical fruit flavours to the mix. It just goes to prove what Ardbeg aficionados have always known: Ardbeg truly is out of this world.
