Producer’s tasting notes
NOSE: Powerful peatiness with deep herbal and creamy malt notes. Creosote-soaked elm with flowering red currants, green tomatoes, juniper and pine needles. Peppercorns in butterscotch and salted honeycomb fudge.
TASTE: Hot, sizzling black and white crushed pepper, chilli, and chocolate. Chewy sweet rolling tobacco and newly tanned leather, brininess and a burst of juicy lime marmalade. Cigar smoke, roast espresso coffee, toasted almonds and liquorice root.
FINISH: Long, deep and powerful – tarry sultanas in fudge, cocoa and chilli.
