Our tasting notes
Delicate, nuanced and fragrant – here’s an Ardbeg that has a measured and deliberate delivery that doesn’t overwhelm but rather takes you on a journey of discovery. The bouquet is a collage of lightly smoked salmon, smothered wet beach-fire, with venison notes and hints of granny smith apples followed by a rich palate brimming with sweet and sour pork, butter menthols and feta stuffed bell peppers. The finish brings waves of brine, oak, lemon peel and sweet sherry. – A real master class in whisky making – Ardbeg at the top of their game. A real winner.
