Description
This Ardnamurchan single malt showcases 22 unpeated 5-year-old ex-Bourbon casks, carefully re-racked into rich Sauternes barriques for an additional 2.5 years of finishing. The result? A beautifully layered Highland whisky, yielding 6,000 bottles worldwide.
As with every Ardnamurchan whisky, its non-chill filtered, naturally coloured, and produced in batches, meaning no two releases are ever the same. These limited batches disappear fast across global markets, making each bottle very much sort-after by whisky lovers in Australia and beyond.
About Ardnamurchan distillery
Located on one of Scotland’s most remote and rugged peninsulas, Ardnamurchan Distillery is owned and operated by Adelphi, one of the UK’s most respected independent bottlers. Known for its commitment to sustainability, Ardnamurchan runs on renewable hydro-electric power and a large biomass boiler fuelled by local timber from the Ardnamurchan forest.
This system heats the site’s floor maltings and distillery, while the whisky itself is crafted using pristine spring water flowing from the hills above and feeding into the Glenmore River. The result is an environmentally conscious Scotch whisky producer with a reputation for purity, character, and world-class whisky.
