Description
Here’s an immense and smoky 27-year-old single malt from BenRiach that has reached our Aussie shores in very limited quantities. It’s part of BenRiach’s new line of whiskies under their ‘Cask Edition’ series that were released in 2022 featuring nine single cask expressions chosen by Master Blender Rachel Barrie ranging from 12-27 years old and bottled at cask strength.
Rare and collectable, this is the oldest age statement in the entire range. The whisky is non-chill-filtered with no added colour and both bottle and presentation box are individually hand-numbered. Australia’s allocation this year has been so small that we only have a handful of bottles to sell.
Master Blender, Rachel Barrie comments;
“Our ‘sleeping beauties’, as we often call these casks, continue to be sourced from all over the world, enabling us to creatively explore the full flavour possibilities of Speyside Single Malt. Each cask will tell its own story of a journey of flavour where the spirit is married with oak, over years and through the seasons, to really create a unique moment in time never to be repeated again.”
