This 21-year-old single malt is part of BenRiach’s top shelf wood finish range where whiskies mature in traditional American oak/Bourbon barrels before spending a finishing period in ex -Tawny Port hogsheads sourced from the Douro region in Portugal. During this second stretch of maturation, the whisky picks up some of the sweeter aromas and fruity characteristics exclusive to the Port Barrel.

NOSE: A delightful bouquet of raspberry jam and berries are present from been finished in port pipes.
PALATE: Lots of spice and oak bringing notes of candied liquorice, orange peel and berries.
FINISH: Medium finish of moderate spice and candy
