This award winning 25-year-old release from BenRiach was made from a combination of whisky aged in bourbon and virgin oak and then finished in Oloroso sherry butts and bottled for the export market at a 46.8% alc. It would make a worthy edition to any serious whisky collection or investment as these 25-year-old ‘age statement whiskies’ are steadily rising in value and becoming increasingly difficult to source.
COLOUR: Rich, golden.
NOSE: Rich honey, spices, apples and peat, in combination with superb oak-wood notes.
FINISH: A rich cocktail of honey, Oloroso sherry, cocoa and apples, supported by a fascinating presence of citrus, sweet peat and wonderful wood notes.
