Bruichladdich 11 Year Single Cask #1189 ‘Micro Provenance Series’ 700ml 59.2%

Our tasting notes
The whisky starts off fresh and crisp defying its high ABV, then levels out into an ensemble of delicate flavour. Think fruit tingles, lemon rind, peer skins, lime jelly crystals, some nuttiness (hazelnuts?) and gentle sea spray. A product of its micro climate.
Then, youthful honey and white flowers (pollen) join the chorus line with a ‘gravely’ kick of Laddie spice.

Final thoughts
Another inspired barrel pick from the motley team at Barrel and Batch where the spirit shines bright. The collectability of this expression is definitely noted, but we’d like to hope you sample this masterpiece to experience the best of Scottish, bourbon-cask matured whisky.
