Official tasting notes.
Has hints of the air in a smokehouse. Then saporous maple-glazed smoky bacon, with roasted nuts and a spicy coating in tow. The salty aftertaste leaves a hint of the sea that its’ coastal distillery adjoins. Its savoury, syrupy, salty passage leaves its mark.

Description
Emanating from Islay’s most northerly whisky outpost, this Bunna Moine is a peat-heads dream. Aged for 14 peaceful years in a second fill Oloroso hogshead, the whisky was then finished for 3 months in a Sauternes barrique, bottled at 54.7% with a yield of 281 bottles.
This beauty left us in reflective pause. The spirit melds continental sweetness with local smokiness and salt. Sharp, fumy aromas from a heavily peated Bunna is allied to a treacly touch from its sherry and Sauternes embraces. Absolute banger!
