Description
Here’s a Cadenhead’s expression from a distillery that punches well above her weight, Tomatin. The whisky was matured in 3 x bourbon hogsheads and then bottled at cask strength in 2018 at 55.5% ABV. It’s clean, fresh and floral, the perfect companion for an autumn afternoon in the sun.
As with all Cadenhead expressions, the whisky is non-chill filtered with no added colouring.
About Tomatin Distillery.
The Tomatin Distillery is located in the Scottish Highland and was first registered on 8th June 1897. After surviving through a few closures over 90 odd years, the Distillery was purchased by two Japanese companies, Takara Shuzo and Okura & Co. in 1986. Tomatin’s classic house style is an unpeated, light, soft and fruity whisky and with a first-class wood policy in place, they’re now using a higher percentage of first-fill casks that really helps the spirit shine, earning rave reviews along the way.
