Bottling Notes
From Cadenhead’s, Scotland’s oldest independent bottlers, comes this 11-year-old Knockdhu from their small-batch range. It’s a 10-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from Knockdhu distillery, distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2018 by WM Cadenhead for their small batch series. The new-make spirit was laid to rest in 3 bourbon hogsheads for 11 years and were filled at 54.7% vol.
The Knockdhu distillery is owned by Inver House Distillers Limited who bottle their award -winning whisky under the Gaelic name anCnoc meaning “the hill”. As with all Cadenhead bottlings, the small batch series is non-chill filtered with no added colouring. Australia only receives a very small allocation of Cadenhead each year making the brand a very sort after indie on our shores.
