Description
Now here’s one hell of an age statement single malt whisky from Cadenhead that was distilled by the Tormore distillery. Tormore was built in 1956 in the heart of Speyside, nestled on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, home to some of Scotland’s highest mountains. These mountains give Tormore its name, it being taken from the Gaelic Torra Mhòir, meaning ‘the big hill’.
This whisky was laid to rest in a trio of bourbon hogsheads and then bottled at cask strength in 2019. Independent bottlings from Tormore are quite rare, making this 30-year-old stunner quite the find at an accessible price. As with all Cadenhead expressions, the whisky is non-chill filtered with no added colouring.
