Description
From the extensive collection of W.M. Cadenhead ‘Small Batch’ independent bottlings comes this 23-year-old single malt distilled by the Glen Elgin distillery in Speyside. Glen Elgin is owned by Diageo and was the last distillery to be built during the boom years of Scottish whisky in the mid 1890’s. The distillery uses worm tubs to cool the distilled vapours, as opposed to condensers, adding a depth and richness to the spirit.
This whisky was laid to rest in two bourbon hogsheads and then bottled at cask strength in 2019. As with all Cadenhead expressions, the whisky is non-chill filtered with no added colouring.
