Official tasting notes.
The atmosphere of an apple orchard. Verdant fruit, warm vanilla custard. A splinter of oak. Then savour tangy apple, cinnamon, woody notes once more. Rich and creamy. Coats the palate, sweetness, softness and faintly spiced. Lie back in your apple grove, it’s a lengthy dénouement.

Description
A Lowland malt made close by the Clyde, at Auchentoshan Distillery. A quarter-century in a first fill bourbon barrel means a forceful drop, further enchanted by a 3-month finish in a Calvados barrel. The whisky was then bottled at 53.6% ABV with a yield of 221 bottles. Light amber in looks, expect sweet green fresh fruit and warming spicy scents with apples and cinnamon to the fore.
The perfect summer dram!
What is Calvados?
Calvados is a French apple brandy originating from the Normandy region of France, that is made by distilling fermented apple cider and aging it in oak barrels for at least two years. The drink has a rich, complex flavour profile that captures the essence of ripe apples, with notes of wood, caramel, and spice developing during its aging process
About Auchentoshan Distillery
Auchentoshan is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky distillery located in the town of Clydebank in Scotland. Founded in 1800, it is one of the few remaining Lowland distilleries and is known for its unique triple distillation process. This method results in a lighter, smoother spirit compared to many other Scotch whiskies. The distillery, whose name means “corner of the field” in Gaelic, has a rich history and produces a range of expressions.
