The Glendronach Allardice 18yo (named after the distillery’s founder) is non-chill filtered with no added colouring and has been matured in 100% Oloroso sherry casks, released under the new owners of the distillery in 2009.
In our opinion, we preferred it when this expression was a well-kept secret as it was easily accessible and one of the best, if not THE BEST value for money 18yo 100% sherry cask on the market. These days, the secret is well and truly out and as a result, Australia only gets allocated a very small amount of this magical Scottish elixir.
