The Rise of the Snow Phoenix.
Born from the Tempest of Winter, taking Flight through the Annals of Time!
This whisky’s creation was inspired by the collapse of four distillery roofs at the Glenfiddich Distillery in January 2010 following months of heavy snow in Speyside causing hundreds of maturing whisky casks to be exposed to the night sky. Distillery workers then banded together braving sub-zero temperatures to clear the dense snow saving many oak casks in the process.
Malt Master Brian Kinsman then married the rescued casks together (aged from 13 to 30 years old) which included American oak and Oloroso sherry to create this absolute cult classic. Rare, exclusive and a must have for any whisky connoisseur or collector.
