The Gordon & MacPhail ‘Connoisseurs Choice’ 1987 was created in 1968 and laid to rest in a refill sherry hogshead (Cask #426) for 33 years.
Official tasting Notes
- Nose: Festive spice and rich fruitcake combine with a hint of citrus. Cocoa powder develops accompanied by honey.
- Palate: Stewed red berries and smooth orange zest intertwine with nutmeg spice. A hint of dark chocolate and malted biscuit balances soft herbal notes.
- Finish: A light to medium finish with lingering roasted nuts and mature oak.
