Producer’s tasting Notes
Nose: Delicious dry sherry aromas mingle with cinnamon and clove. Toffee apple notes give way to mixed peel gradually developing into subtle malty undertones.
Taste: Smooth and creamy; ripe apricots and stewed plum coated in orange marmalade lead into flavours of bitter dark chocolate highlighted by notes of blackberries, blackcurrants, and sticky fig jam.
Finish: Long and lingering with nuanced aniseed, candied citrus peel, and charred oak.

Bottling Notes
A 19-year-old 1998 vintage, single malt from the Ardmore distillery, independently bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. It was laid to rest in refill sherry hogsheads before being bottled in 2018 as part of the refreshed Distillery Labels ranges, featuring an old school, retro-styled label.
The history of this ‘Distillery Labels’ range heralds back to G&M’s very beginnings and the strong working relationships they had with distillery owners. G&M would bottle and sell the spirit the distilleries created as single malt on the condition that G&M used their ‘house’ label with the caption “bottled by Gordon & MacPhail”. These relationships have culminated in today’s ‘Distillery Labels’ – a showcase of historical/retro label design.
