Producer’s tasting Notes
Nose: Notes of brown sugar covered stewed raisins mingle with hints of roasted hazelnuts. Delicate floral aromas are complemented by sweet vanilla and freshly cut dry hay.
Taste: Full and fruity; stewed apple, cinnamon, and clove flavours come to the fore initially. Ripe summer berries emerge and combine with fresh mint highlights and refined toasted malt undertones.
Finish: Long with lingering charred oak and a subtle herbal undertone.

Bottling Notes
A 21-year-old single malt from Glenburgie distillery, independently bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. It was laid to rest in refill sherry hogsheads before being bottled in 2018 as part of the refreshed Distillery Labels ranges, featuring an old school, retro-styled label. Most Glenburgie spirit is used for Chivas blends but thanks to G&M, we get the opportunity to sample a true Glenburgie after 21 glorious years of fruity layering and complexity.
The history of this ‘Distillery Labels’ range heralds back to G&M’s very beginnings and the strong working relationships they had with distillery owners. G&M would bottle and sell the spirit the distilleries created as single malt on the condition that G&M used their ‘house’ label with the caption “bottled by Gordon & MacPhail”. These relationships have culminated in today’s ‘Distillery Labels’ – a showcase of historical/retro label design.
