Producer’s tasting Notes
Aroma: Rich spicy aromas of cinnamon and clove initially. Fruitcake notes – rum soaked raisin and clementine – lead to oak and a hint of beeswax polish.
Taste: Pepper is followed by rich orange marmalade and dark chocolate. Spices are still present and complement stewed date flavours. Toasted oak and ground coffee combine at the end with a touch of liquorice.
Aroma with Water: Sweet Sherry aromas dance with festive spices and demerara sugar. Dried cherry, fig, and melon notes develop alongside chocolate and charred oak. A fresh lemon peel edge is present.
Taste with Water: Spicy with stewed plum initially, followed by orange marmalade and chocolate flavours. Raisins and hints of crystallised ginger lead to a charred oak edge. Body Medium. Finish Long and spicy with lingering stewed fruits.
