Only 6,000 bottles of Glencadam Single Malt 19-year-old have been released. The Sherry cask finish has been produced by the meticulous selection of mature whisky finished in Oloroso Sherry butts contributing to the rich, fruit-cake characteristics of the whisky.
Glencadam whisky as a whole is largely underrated as consumers are often drawn to the larger distilleries and the more ‘chic’ bottle designs but don’t be fooled, this distillery punches well above its weight and delivers stunning single malts.
NOSE: Sophisticated pot-pourri of floral malt, raisiny fruit cake with Sherry notes merging with mocha chocolate and crushed walnuts
PALATE: Mature barley-malt elements are balanced by the rich flavours of fruit cake, mixed nuts and raisins gently drying to embrace some cigar box spiciness
FINISH: Wonderfully complex and sumptuous
