Highland Park’s THE DARK is the first release in the 2 bottle LIGHT and Dark series of 28,000 bottles celebrating autumn and winter in Orkney.

Presented in a stunning hard-wood, robust box and beautifully embossed black glass bottle, the serpent dragon design takes its inspiration from the great Norse sagas and embraces both the high sun of the summer solstice and the low sun of the winter solstice – the polar opposites of Orkney’s seasons – while the runic writing reflects the ancient carvings of the Viking ancestors which can still be seen today on Orkney.

THE DARK is a rich and powerful 17-year-old matured in European Oak Sherry seasoned casks to deliver a distinctly deep flavour packed with spices, nuts, dried fruit and smoky peat.

Only a small allocation made it to our shores so best be quick with this one. 😉
