Bottling Notes
Here’s the 1996 vintage of the limited annual release of Lagavulin Distillers Edition single malt scotch-whisky and is arguably the most sort after in the range. Double matured and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, it has the old dark labels and box layout prior to the design change.
Combining rich, peat smoke that the distillery is known for with a stunning PX maturation brings out a depth of flavour that is all chocolate, sticky date pudding and bonfire smoke. A stunning dram for fans of Islay whisky with a twist.
