Description
We’re incredibly excited to announce that the revered Independent Bottling brand ‘My Name Is Whisky’ (MNIW) is now available in Australia, exclusive to The Old Barrelhouse.
“SEA” is dedicated to Peter Mackie, a pioneer whose courage inspired the MNIW team to narrate his story through his beloved Lagavulin whisky. Peter Mackie was responsible for creating the famous White Horse blend and ended up owning Lagavulin when he took over the family business in 1889. Thanks to Peter, Lagavulin is today what we all know and love: a distillery that produces a unique, rich and complex whisky. A distillery that looks to the sea and defies the storm.
This 22-year-old, single cask, cask strength beauty was matured entirely in first fill bourbon. Our samples were devoured faster than a toupee in a wind storm – absolutely delicious, pure Laga!
As all MNIW expressions, the whisky was bottled at cask strength with no chill filtration or added colour.
The Packaging
The MNIW team personally prepares each package to ensure a unique and unforgettable experience. The bottle arrives in a wooden box handmade by craftsmen in Italy. Along with it, you will find a certificate to guarantee its authenticity as well. There is a lot of research behind the selection of every MNIW bottlings as every bottle has a story to tell. For this reason, along with the bottle, you will receive a booklet. From the moment you open its pages, you are transported to the rolling hills and misty valleys where the first drops of this premium spirit were distilled.
Interesting Fact
