This is the 14th batch of the Islay distillery’s 10-year-old, cask strength expression which shines in bold intensity. If you’re a fan of peated whisky, you need to try this balanced work of art. In 2021, Laphroaig released two batches in the same year – Batch 13 bottled in January 2021 (also available on our virtual shelves) and this Batch 14 bottled in June 2021.
The series started in 2009 when Laphroaig began releasing special cask strength batches of their 10yo whisky once a year that unfortunately never make it in their line up for the Australian market. But never fear fellow peat-lovers, we’ve included them in our ever-growing whisky portfolio for your smoky consideration. 😉
