Official tasting notes:
Nose: Brazil nut toffee brittle, with sweet vanilla custard notes and baking spice, followed by milk chocolate covered raisins and a suggestion of spiced orange.
Palate: Rich, sweet and oily on the palate, with notes of smoked orange toffee, stewed peaches and smouldering campfire. Dried fruit notes balanced with hints of coffee grounds and liquorice root for a long lasting and slightly herbal finish.
Finish: Long, slightly sweet and dry with a long, slightly peppery peat-rich smoky finish.

Description
Bottled to celebrate Fèis Ìle (Islay Festival) 2024 and the 30-year anniversary of Friend of Laphroaig.
This 10-year-old offers a complex, combination of layers from the casks of two beloved earlier releases; the 2019 Triple Wood and the 2021 Pedro Ximenez cask.
The Breakdown:
The 2019 Triple Wood release was laid to rest in ex-bourbon barrels, followed by maturation in quarter casks, and a final period in European oak casks previously holding Oloroso sherry. The 2021 PX Cask release began life in ex-bourbon barrels, then re-racked into bourbon quarter casks, and finished in Pedro Ximenez casks.
The result is well-balanced, multi-layered, and provides a warm and spicy counterpoint to the classic Laphroaig aroma – delicious stuff.
