We’re massive fans of Linkwood and Samaroli have really delivered on this unpeated expression, a marriage of 4 refill bourbon hogsheads numbered 311712, 311706, 311709 and 311711. The whisky was distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2022 at 45% ABV. Samaroli is known for bottling whiskies that drink beyond their stated ABV, such is the magic of their art, and this whisky is no different offering layers of complexity.

The Linkwood Distillery is located at Elgin, in the Speyside region of Scotland and is owned by the drinks giant Diageo. Linkwood has long been prized by blenders as the vast majority of production goes into Johnnie Walker and White Horse blends.
