Official tasting notes.
Nose: Plenty of winey notes, ripe apricots, peaches and oranges, with a vibrant acidity that balances the ripeness.
Palate: Even more balance between ripe fruits (including red apples) and acidity. There’s a tannic background of fragrant tea and herbs, too, with the spiciness growing after the initial layers.
Finish: Peppery and with a pleasant touch of tannins.

Pedro Ximenez Linkwood gains remarkable depth through two years of finishing in an active first-fill hogshead. The liquid showcases mineral complexity and delicate floral notes. The deep, luscious Pedro Ximenez sherry influence perfectly complements the whisky’s natural Speyside elegance, creating an indulgent tasting experience.
About Linkwood Distillery:
Linkwood Distillery is located in Elgin, in the Speyside region of Scotland and is owned by drinks giant, Diageo. Built in 1821 by Peter Brown, it began production in 1825. Blenders prize Linkwood whisky for its quality, with the lion’s share of production going into Diageo’s Johnnie Walker and White Horse blends.
Connoisseurs seek Linkwood through independent bottlings. Diageo rarely releases official expressions. When available, these bottles become highly coveted worldwide.
