Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Fresh fruit salad, brown butter cookies, maple pancakes, and candied nuts. Wafers, waxed citrus, fresh leather, and polished oak emerge in time.
Palate: Fruity and zesty, with rich old oak and mellow sweetness. Waffles, honey, fresh melon, and a touch of lychee lead to buttery fudge and a sprinkling of drying spice.
Finish: Leather, oak, and cigar box spice, boozy stewed fruits, butter biscuits, and honeycomb wax.

Description:
Now Officially Available in Australia for the Very First Time
Distilled in 1990 and matured for 34 years, this rare Cambus single grain Scotch whisky begins its journey in refill barrels before being finished in a rum cask. The result is a wonderfully waxy dram, rich with notes of warm waffles and honeyed melon.
A Dual-Cask Character
The two-cask journey defines this whisky’s personality. Extended maturation in refill barrels lets the grain spirit’s natural sweetness and texture develop undisturbed. The rum cask finish then layers on tropical richness, adding depth and warmth that lifts the entire dram.
Why This Cambus is Special
• Ghost distillery expression: Cambus closed decades ago. Its aged single grain releases are now actively sought by collectors worldwide for their delicate, sweet, and complex character.
• Lowland whisky heritage: Cambus was a pioneering grain whisky distillery in the Scottish Lowlands and played a key role in the development of continuous column still distillation – an essential part of Scotch whisky history.
• Uncompromising bottling standards: Master of Malt is a fiercely independent, founder-owned bottler. No colouring is ever added, and chill filtration is never used.
This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Scotch whisky history. A fully matured, craft-finished single grain from a distillery that will never produce again.
