Official tasting notes.
The nose yields warm bread and blue cheese. Lingering despite its young age, evolving towards a balsamic profile with a wealth of flavours such as such as oregano, sesame, marjoram. The iodine component is naturally persistent, but it does not hinder the spirit‘s tempo and dimension, with yeast-rich grain in the finish.

Interesting Fact
The name of this whisky – Ardenistle is a tribute to the Ardenistle distillery that was located in Islay and in operation from 1837–1849. The distillery was Laphroaig’s short-lived neighbour that was also known as Kildalton Distillery 1849-1852, and Islay Distillery 1852-1866. The distillery was eventually
taken over by Laphroaig Distillery 1853.
