Description
This single cask release from Samaroli was aged in a re-fill bourbon hogshead (#901229) that yielded only 423 bottles and has proven extremely popular worldwide with not many bottles still available in the wild. The whisky opens up like a flower over time revealing the true some of its parts. Definitely something different and a real conversation whisky.

About Glentauchers Distillery.
Glentauchers is located on the road to Craigellachie distillery, on the edge of the Craigellachie Forest and some four miles from the town of Keith. The process water for the distillery is drawn from the Rosarie Burn (via a large reservoir). Glentauchers has long since been associated with blends; it is a large component of Ballantines, Teachers and Chivas Regal.

Interesting Fact
Glentauchers whisky was once known as a silent malt, a throwback name to their style of whisky in the past when they used column stills rather than pot stills. It wasn’t at all popular so they quickly returned to their traditional pot stills and have been knocking it out of the proverbial park ever since.
