Nose: There is an earthy, mustiness on the nose, along with notes of hazelnut, maraschino cherries and blood orange.
Palate: Notes of cured meats, gorse and tobacco box are balanced with sweet hints of coconut and treacle.
Finish: A dry finish with notes of wood shavings and tarragon.

Description
Springbank have just unleashed the 3rd edition in their latest five part ‘Sherry Series’, to the Australian market. It’s one rare 10-year-old that was matured for 5 years in Bourbon casks followed by 5 years in Amontillado sherry.
To safeguard Springbank’s distinctive flavour profile, the distillery has aged the whisky in Amontillado sherry for 5 years as it’s not as active as the 2nd release that was aged in Palo Cortado sherry for 4 years.
About the ‘Sherry Series’
Surfing the wave of the successful Local Barley series, Springbank is releasing a new set of five sherry-matured whiskies, starting from 2022 through to 2026 with Australia receiving them approx. 6 months to 1 year after the UK release dates.
Each of the 5 whiskies will be partially matured in a different variety of sherry cask in the following order: Pedro Ximénez, Palo Cortado, Amontillado, Fino and Manzanilla with the Manzanilla and Palo Cortado releases the first of their kind for the distillery.
