Having first been distilled in 1997, Hazelburn is the newest whisky to be produced at the Springbank distillery taking its name from one of the distilleries of Campbelltown’s past. Hazelburn gains it’s light, fruity and subtle character from unpeated barley that is air dried and distilled three times in old, copper stills.
Un-chill-filtered and with no added colour, the Hazelburn 10-year-old was first released in 2014 and is rich in flavour with aromatic, honeycomb nuances that are certain to delight.
NOSE: Stewed pears and baked apples are followed by honeyco0mb and fudge notes.
PALATE: A lovely and rich whisky with vanilla and honey flavours, liquorice follows with a refreshing zestiness.
FINISH: A refined milk chocolate cream finish that is oily and chewy.
